2021 was quite a year for weddings. Originally, it was the year that I was cutting down my number of weddings a bit too. But that all changed when 2020 wedding were rescheduled into 2021. I also photographed three weddings for a friend who had moved from the area and then had rescheduled weddings due to the government forced shut down of venues in 2020!
So in addition to those three great couples, I photographed my wonderful couples too this year. Some said ” do” for the first time and some were celebrating a year after their micro weddings last year. But all of them were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of folks to serve during all the ups and downs of the 2020/21 wedding season. I’m so thrilled to celebrate by sharing them with you now!
Olivia and Tyler celebrated their Big Day at Morais Vineyards in the late Spring.
They had perfect weather and plenty of friends and family to celebrate with them!
Samantha and David were married on a private estate, Penderyn, in Maryland in late Spring as well.
They hosted the most unique wedding day, full of joy! They even had a special deck of cards for each guest with their venue illustrated on it as well as themselves as king and queen!
Kaitlyn and Matt had to postpone their original wedding date from 2020 into 2021. They had a gorgeous Memorial Day weekend wedding day planned. And it was rainy and COLD. Like really cold. But they persevered and had the most incredible day with family and friends!
Their gorgeous wedding day was on Kaitlyn’s family’s property in Virginia. Thanks to an incredible team of wedding professionals, their day was perfect even in the rain! And this might have been the best first dance I’ve ever seen.
Jenn and Matt tied the knot at the beginning of June at the lovely Fleetwood Farm Winery. This beautifully landscaped winery was the perfect setting for these two! They are so happy in love and such gracious hosts.
Their pale blue themed wedding day was the perfect cool touch to a warm (but not too warm!) early summer’s wedding day.
Michelle and Tyler had the joy of saying “I do” a year after their micro wedding! Their Morais Vineyards wedding day took place one year later and they had gorgeous weather yet again!
They had a lovely golden hour at the atrium at Morais and a gorgeous day all around, full of love and laughter.
Chelsea and Mike celebrated their year anniversary with their Big Day wedding at the Great Marsh Estate in June. They had a micro wedding at The Barn at Willowbrook in 2020 as well.
Their day was a lovely celebration of family and friends! The weather was perfect and you couldn’t ask for a lovelier day!
Emma and Zach tied the knot on Zach’s family’s property. And even with a storm that rolled through, it was such a great day! Zach’s and Emma are a perfect match.
This adventurous couple had the perfect view for their wedding day and they also had a rainbow at the end of the ceremony (seriously go check out the link above!).
Trish and Dan had such a perfectly planned Airlie wedding day! Dan’s father is a retired florist and Dan preserves wedding flowers, so Dan designed the most beautiful floral creations for the day, including a gorgeous floral hoop arbour!
These two love birds celebrated the day with their most loved ones around them with perfect weather for a September wedding!
Nicole and Julian had to plan their Blue Valley Vineyard wedding from afar. Planning a wedding in Virginia while living in New York is no easy feat. But they did it so perfectly!
Surrounded by family and friends, Nicole and Julian said “I do” surrounded by the most stunning views with a gorgeous golden hour ceremony.
Evelyn and Stefano had to reschedule their beloved 10/10/2020 Big Day into October of 2021. They still had their Pink Dogwood micro wedding on October 10, 2020, but rescheduled their big Morais Vineyard wedding day for 2021.
It was a beautiful wedding day and Evelyn and Stefano are truly such a wonderful (and traveling!) couple. It was such a joy to finally see them have their Big Day!!
Brianna and Hunter also had to plan their Virginia wedding while living in California! They hosted their gorgeous black tie wedding at St. Bride’s Farm on a perfect October weekend.
Their wedding was a beautiful celebration complete with an incredible band and one of the most stunning wedding dresses! Not to mention a stellar couple!
Melissa and John planned for an incredibly intimate wedding day at the Spotswood Lodge of The Market at Grelen. It was such a sweet wedding day with only their very closest friends and family in attendance.
Their mid October wedding day was just lovely and comfortable. And they were the perfect host and hostess of this intimate wedding day!
Bekah and Patrick were another couple who had to reschedule their 2020 wedding date into 2021. But they were so relaxed and happy to finally tie the knot when their October Rust Manor wedding day finally came!
They had such a joyful celebration full of family and friends and some extra special surprises!
Danielle and Dave planned their Bluemont Vineyard wedding for a beautiful November day and it certainly was! There was some wind, which only served to show off the gorgeous sleeves of Danielle’s Badgley Mischka wedding gown!
Despite Danielle suffering some broken ribs from a polo accident the week of the wedding, they both had a wonderful day and celebrated amongst family and friends!
What a wonderful year for weddings! Congratulations to all the Lieb Photographic couples of 2021!
