What a joy it was to photograph Michelle and Tyler’s Morais Vineyards Micro Wedding Day! Michelle and Tyler had planned a big Morais Vineyards Wedding with all their friends and family. But due to COVID government shut downs and regulations, they decided to alter their plans. They decided to tie the knot on their original wedding date with just their immediate family and save the big Morais Vineyards wedding day for next year around their first anniversary.
The weather was perfect and we couldn’t ask for a prettier day! There was a very very brief spurt of rain and dark clouds in the distance, but the rest of the day was sunny and warm.
I photographed some of their details in the bridal quite as well as Michelle donning her shoes and her mother assisting with her sash and jewelry.
Once Michelle was ready, I photographed her in her dress in the bridal suite and then I headed outside to greet Tyler.
Tyler was excited to finally be tying the knot and ready to see Michelle for their first look!
Michelle greeted Tyler and they both had wide smiles as they saw each other for the first moments of their wedding hour!
After their first look, it was time for couples’ portraits. We had a little time before the ceremony began and we took advantage of the lovely grounds at Morais Vineyards, including the terrace at the bridal suite.
We walked past the road to the Morais pergula and on to more of the grounds and the vineyard. It was such a lovely day for portraits!
Soon it was time for the ceremony! Both of Michelle’s parents escorted her down the aisle. It was such a sweet ceremony and their families were so thrilled to be together celebrating this special day.
They exchanged vows written to one another and expressed their commitment for a lifetime with each other. Once the rings were exchanged and they said “I Do,” they sealed it with a kisss!
We then visited the cellars at Morais Vineyards and photographed some more “Just Married” portraits there and in front of the Portuguese inspired facade.
The skies held some glorious clouds and we enjoyed a few more photographs before taking time to document their family members.
It really was the most wonderful day for these two beautiful people who first met at Mary Washington University and then tied the knot just up the road at Morais Vineyards. I can’t wait for their big celebration around this time next year! It will be right after their first anniversary.
