Patrick and Bekah were another couple who had to delay their wedding a year due to the government shut downs and restrictions last year on wedding and event venues. So I was pretty excited when their Big Day FINALLY arrived. After a year of waiting, these two were able to gather with family and friends at the historic and lovey Rust Manor for a day of pure joy!

Bekah and Patrick prepared for the day separately prior to their first look. And what a lovely bride Bekah made!!!

Their first look was perfect! Patrick wasn’t without a tear and Bekah was more than relieved and thrilled to see her groom.

Then they gave each other surprise gifts and Bekah’s reaction to Patrick’s very unexpected gift was priceless!

Then they said their vows privately to each other in front of the manor and sealed it with a kiss.

They Bekah and Patrick graced the grounds of Rust Manor for some romantic couples’ portraits.

And how did these two meet, fall in love and get here? In their own words: “Despite growing up on opposite sides of the country, Patrick and Bekah’s paths seemed destined cross. Both chose to attend the same small liberal arts college in Holland, Michigan, called Hope College. There they made mutual friends, but never met each other due to their five year age gap. After school, they both made the same decision to move to the Washington DC metro area.

Patrick’s career in health and fitness brought him to work for the House of Representatives Staff Gym, where Bekah had plans to join as a House staffer. Before she had a chance to meet him there, they had matched on Hinge, a dating app that connects people through mutual Facebook friends. Their first date was on Halloween in 2015. They spent nearly every day for the next several months together learning about each other and growing in love.

After nearly four years of dating, Patrick proposed to Bekah on June 22, 2019, at Bull Run Winery in front of close friends and family.”

After their couples’ portraits, Bekah and Patrick posed for some portraits with their family and wedding party before it was time for the ceremony.

The ceremony was gorgeous and the weather was simply perfect that time of day!

After the ceremony, Bekah and Patrick posed for some more couples’ portraits at golden hour. And oh that light!

They enjoyed cocktail hour with friends and family before it was time for the reception to start.

The reception was warm and welcoming and Patrick and Bekah made a beautiful and fun grand entrance and first dance.

They shared some special first dances with their parents and the evening was underway!

It was a night to remember with an incredibly talented band and friends who toasted them well (and maybe a little roasting)! What a wonderful night!

Congratulations Bekah and Patrick! I am so honored to have documented this special day and I’m so glad the weather was perfect and you had the time of your lives! And thank you to these wonderful wedding professionals who helped make it happen!
