It is with joy that I present the Married Couples of 2019. I was blessed yet again with a wonderful group of people to work with and the honor of serving them on their best day! Living in an area with an enormous selection of wedding venues is certainly an advantage for any Virginia wedding photographer. And I had quite the variety of places this year in which to document these special occasions.

A+K at Walden Hall

The season began with A+K (sorry I can’t divulge names or the groom’s face!) at Walden Hall. I began the year with almost four full months blocked off to allow time for my surgery and recovery. So A+K’s wedding was my first one at the end of April. The weather was mild and the day was simply perfect, boasting a pale blue palette, one of this year’s most popular. These two had such a beautiful, deep, abiding friendship and love that was complimented by the gorgeous Spring weather.

Sarah and Ramzi at Walden Hall

Sarah and Ramzi also tied the knot at Walden Hall with another popular palette…lavender and greenery. These two are the perfect combination of fun and elegance. Sarah’s grandmother taught her how to walk with a book on her head and it showed! I’ve never seen a bride with a more elegant gate! She and Ramzi glided through their day with joy, grace and lots of laughter.

Lauren and Eric at Mountain Run Winery

Lauren and Eric are such sweet hearts! They tied the knot at Mountain Run Winery on a warm spring day. They braved the heat as well as a black snake that tried to make a grand entrance during Lauren’s bridal portrait time! The entire day was a wonderful celebration of their romance and friendship.

Jenn and Avery at The Riverview at Occoquan

Jenn and Avery are friends with Mollie and Garrett (I photographed their Walden Hall wedding a couple years ago!). They are also fellow JMU Dukes! From the beginning it was so much fun to see them plan and work with such a great vendor team. Every detail of their wedding was full of meaning and great care. And another lavender based palette created the perfect accent to Jenn’s vision for their Big Day!

Lauren and Justin at Rixey Manor

Lauren and Justin had to plan their wedding day from afar, which is not an easy feat! But these two pulled everything together for a lovely summer’s wedding day at Rixey Manor. They had gorgeous weather and a military wedding in one of the prettiest parts of Virginia.

Emily and Robert at Rixey Manor

Emily and Robert also enjoyed a perfect day at Rixey Manor. The weather was hot, but that didn’t stop this gorgeous military wedding. They said “I do” at a Catholic Church in Warrenton and then celebrated the rest of the day at Rixey Manor. It was a wedding full of such sweet sentiments and the most adoring family and friends!

Kristi and Tom at Airlie

Kristi and Tom also planned their Big Day from Boston! And it came together beautifully with the help of family and a good wedding planner. They also left plenty of time for so many incredible portraits around the property! I think it’s safe to say that these two will have so many portraits to treasure. They also had the most incredible vows to each other…something to expect from two poets who fell in love!

Rachelle and Tyler at Marriott Ranch

Rachelle and Tyler are Fauquier county sweethearts who love the horse country and each other. They tied the knot with the Blue Ridge Mountains behind them at the biggest, brightest bouquet in hand! Their pale blue palette along with lots of white blooms and greenery made their reception space pop as well!

Brittany and Mike at Great Marsh Estate

Brittany and Mike describe their personalities as complete opposites. Yet they go together like PB&J! They also had a pale blue palette to accent every sweet detail from their Great Marsh Estate wedding. They had such a memorable and joyous celebration filled with the most lovely family moments as well!

Annie and Chris at Fleetwood Farm Winery

“It’s always been Annie and Chris.” That was the sentiment of their family and close friends throughout the day at their Fleetwood Farm Winery wedding. They have grown up together and truly are best friends. Despite having to plan a wedding while they also moved out of state, Annie and Chris successfully hosted the most lovely early Fall wedding.

Mo and Adam at Capital View 400

A First Look on the steps of the Supreme Court, bridal party portraits at the Capitol and a birds eye view of DC define the backdrop to this incredible day. Mo and Adam share a love of their city and celebrated atop the Capitol View at 400 amongst the most supportive family and friends. It was the perfect wedding for this DC couple!

Kati and Brendan at King Family Vineyards

Kati and Brendan had the best view of the Blue Ridge Mountains for their wedding reception at King Family Vineyards. What Virginia wedding photographer wouldn’t love getting her camera in front of these purple mountain majesties? And Kati and Brendan’s sweet love story was also one that involved planning from NYC. but oh my how it all came together! After their Holy Comforter wedding ceremony in Charlottesville, they came to King Family Vineyards to celebrate at their wonderful Fall wedding reception, complete with a custom wedding gown made just for Kati from Jude Jowilson!

Jamie and Jason at the barn at Rosemont Manor

Jamie and Jason celebrated their Fall wedding together at the barn at Rosemont Manor. The weather was simply ideal and they enjoyed some wonderful time with family and friends in this serene part of Virginia. They had many unforgettable sentimental details to their day including a locket on Jamie’s bouquet with her late father’s image. Their love of family was evident throughout the day and they took the time to really enjoy their guests as well as each other!

Catie and Andrew at Great Marsh Estate

Catie and Andrew planned a December wedding ceremony at the historic Little Fork Episcopal Church with a reception at the Great Marsh Estate. The day began with rain but it quickly cleared up a bit during their portraits. It was such a wonderful day with warm candlelight and a deep love of family. There were several sweet moments with their grandparents and so many special details to honor their guests and their love.

Congratulations to all of the couples of 2019! It has been a joy to serve you…truly. You have blessed the socks off this Virginia wedding photographer! It’s been a wonderful season…cheers to 2019!
