What a complete joy it was to finally meet baby Caden!! I first photographed his parents for their Meadowlark Botanical Gardens engagement session four years ago, then on their Airlie wedding day three years ago and then again for a styled Great Marsh session. And every time it has been a wonderful experience. This time might just top them all for me though because I had the honor of photographing the newest addition to their tribe…baby Caden! This has quickly become one of my all time favorite Virginia family sessions!
Baby Caden and Kristen were not expected to survive the pregnancy, but here they are today, both happy and healthy and GLOWING! I can’t tell you how my heart jumped the first time I saw a pregnant pic of Kristen on instagram. And then to hear that these three were all doing well after an extremely trying 31 weeks of pregnancy was simply wonderful.
I loved getting to catch up with Kristen and Alex and to hear all they’ve been up to. Now is quite an interesting time to be new parents and Kristen and Alex spare nothing in their care for sweet Caden. He is so photogenic and even had a “winky” face a few times!
I cannot wait to see this little guy grow over the years and I hope to photograph them again and again!
