The title of this blog post might be a bit misleading…yes this is a “mini” styled shoot, but it is also on the eve of Kristen and Alex’s three month anniversary! I have LOVED working with this incredibly genuine and gracious couple from the beginning. So when they agreed to model for me, I was thrilled! And when my friends began this wonderful new journey of managing a new wedding venue literally next door to the high school I used to work at…well, can you guess what was going to happen? Great Marsh Estate is an incredible place for any Virginia Wedding Photographer to come and record cherished memories. Of course in this cold time of year, we didn’t plan anything too big, but rather a reflection of what a bride and groom could plan at this Georgian estate (actually built in the 1980’s!). We wanted everything to reflect the transition from Autumn in Winter.
Fabienne of Wedding Muse created a wild and forged bouquet along with an elegant tablescape for two and Barbara of Mayla Studios created an invitation quite to match, complete with a rendering of the manor on the menu. Kristen looked radiant and beautiful as always with hair and make up from Salon E’mage and an elegant Astrid & Mercedes dress from Fabulous Frocks. If you haven’t been there yet, I highly recommend spending some time with Margaret…she truly represents the best in the wedding industry and will make your wedding dress shopping a pleasant and cheerful experience!
So can you imagine a wedding, anniversary or engagement session at this incredible place?! Hopefully, this shoot will get you thinking!
