Sarah and Ramzi tied the knot at Walden Hall on an absolutely gorgeous day in May. For all the threats of rain, we only had some sprinkles once everyone was tucked safely inside for the reception. The entire day was beautiful from start to finish, and it was a joy to capture for this Virginia wedding photographer. From the views of the pond, the lovely lavender accents, and more importantly, the love that was shared…it was beyond expectations.
I have truly enjoyed getting to know Sarah and Ramzi. Our first time together to photograph was at their engagement session, which was truly epic. Skyline Drive never looked so good on a couple! Sarah and Ramzi really do compliment each other perfectly. As Sarah has stated, “He keeps me relaxed and social, and I keep him organized!” It’s so true; they go together like PB&J. Some of my favorite images from their day are when they walking together. They are so in tune to each other and seem to just glide through the air.
My time at Walden Hall on their wedding day began with photographing their details, all setting the tone for their day and the full story of their nuptials. Sarah’s vision of lavender and ivory mixed with greenery was so very lovely!
I especially loved all of the sweet gifts Sarah and Ramzi had for their bridal party and guests…from coasters courtesy of Ramzi’s parents to scented candles and delicate bracelets for the bridesmaids. Ramzi also had special gifts for his groomsmen and they had the best ringbearer pillow I think I have ever seen! Be sure to scroll through the gallery highlights at the end of the post to see!
Sarah was such an elegant bride, with the most delicate accessories and a stunning Pronovais gown. It was the most perfect choice for Sarah, complimenting her long, slender figure and classic style. And how about that bouquet from The Posey Detail?!
Sarah was the most lovely bride and could have easily been mistaken for royalty as she graced the fainting room and the grounds of Walden Hall.
She was also surrounded by some beautiful women as well as her special flower girl. The ladies wore lovely lavender dresses from David’s Bridal and were just as sweet themselves!
Sarah and her mother were also able to enjoy some moments together before the ceremony.
Ramzi and his men were just as dashing and handsome in their suits, and they enjoyed some time together in the game room at Walden Hall as well as on the grounds. He was both beaming and anxious for the ceremony to begin so he could see his beautiful bride.
When it came time for the ceremony, everyone was excited. Ramzi greeted his best man with a hug, as well as Sarah’s mom, and he was full of nervous excitement to see Sarah. The two exchanged their vows privately with the mic turned off during that time! They also held a whisky blending ceremony and greeted guests with cheers.
Sarah and Ramzi walked back down the aisle with lavender thrown in the air and a few just married kisses!
During a festive cocktail hour, we photographed the bridal party and group portraits. The entire crowd was a happy and listening bunch! They were so excited to celebrate the day together.
Their couples’ portraits were simply amazing because Sarah and Ramzi are so effortlessly in love that they are so very easy to photograph.
Sarah’s style was so graceful and everyone kept commenting on how she has perfected the wedding walk. She even let us in on a little secret…her grandmother had her practice her walk with a book on her head when she was younger. It certainly paid off!
Don’t forget to scroll through the entire post to see more highlights of their couples’ portrait time together! Seriously these two know how to have fun together, all while looking great!
Soon it was time for the reception. Sarah and Ramzi’s vision of lavender, candlelight and greenery came to fruition thanks to The Posey Detail and the careful attention to detail from Harvest Moon.
The reception began with a welcome speech by Ramzi and continued with some genuine toasts from the maid of honor and best man. It was clear that Ramzi and Sarah’s character stands out to all those who know them. They also kept their first dance short and sweet…just long enough to enjoy a dance together and look amazing doing it!
We also had a lovely golden hour at Walden Hall! It was the perfect time for Sarah and Ramzi to steal away and enjoy some special time together with champaign and that evening glow.
Once back to the reception, the evening festivities began. Sarah and Ramzi shared some treats together in lieu of cutting a cake and then the dancing began!
The whole night was filled with casual dancing, visiting with family and friends and a spectacular Dabka!
We even managed to steal away for a few dusk photographs on the infamous bridge at Walden Hall.
Congratulations Sarah and Ramzi! It was an absolute pleasure to serve you, your family and friends. I am so thankful I had the honor of documenting your Big Day.
