Laramie and Jon are truly a perfect match. I loved getting to know them and the way they speak and act as if they have known each other their whole lives! Their families are also so loving and supportive of them and it truly showed on their wedding day.

These two first met at a Boy Scout meeting, both attempting to start up a new Venture Crew. Laramie was dating someone else at the time, so they just stayed in the friend zone for a while. Her boyfriend broke up with her on Valentine’s Day (seriously?!) so she phoned Jonathan and hung out with him for the day while he fed cows as they laughed and played in the snow, making the most of a wintery Valentine’s Day.

They remained good friends up until they both had to work on creating a parade float for the Boy Scouts and won first place. Then they REALLY started to like each other. Laramie took him out to dinner to thank him for all of his help and they started seriously talking about things other than Boy Scouts. Before they left that night, they listened to their favorite versions of County Roads By John Denver int heir cars and laughed over how much they loved the song. And they’ve been together ever since!

So how did Jonathan pop the question? The two were heading to a friend’s event on November 7, 2015 and Jonathan handed her a box. He said, “You need some new jewelry” and Laramie said, “I already have on the pretty blue earrings and necklace you gave me.” He said, “Nope. You need something new today.” She opened the box and at first thought it was a diamond necklace. Their friend Tracey walked over and saw what was going on and laughed at them saying, “You’re finally getting married!” It was then that Laramie actually realized what was really going on. They both laughed and she said “YES!!!”

They are truly best friends and were so excited to tie the knot together…in fact so much so that they incorporated a knot tying ritual in their ceremony! Their wedding day also hold s a special significance as they were officially a couple for six years prior to their wedding date.

Laramie and Jonathan planned on an outdoor wedding on family property but after 20 straight days of rain, that didn’t seem like much of a possibility anymore. But Laramie never once pouted, but just rolled with it and changed their plans to an indoor ceremony at their reception venue. Jessica and the team from the Girls from Main Street created the perfect rustic wedding with wooden sliding doors dressed in greens and florals with Laramie’s blue and yellow combination. Endless Creations created some lovely bouquets and floral arrangements to compliment the color scheme. The Girls from Main Street transformed the ceremony set up into a more rustic glam decor for the reception with some candlelight and a glittery gold backdrop. And Chikpea Graphic’s incredible invitation suite played along with the rustic adventure theme perfectly!

Since they met through Boy Scouts, Laramie and Jonathan tied this into the table names for Scout badges and activities and used lanterns to light the tables. Seriously, these two thought of everything and together with their families, made everyone feel welcomed and loved. The dancing continued through the evening right up until their glow stick exit and grand exit on the giant family tractor!

Congratulations Laramie and Jon! It has been an honor serving the both of you and your lovely families!
