A short distance separated Brooke and Trevor for over a year, but it wasn’t until Brooke reached out to Trevor on Match.com that they realized how close they really are. When they went on their first date, they immediately clicked. They went bowling for a few hours, and even though both had been up since 4am, neither wanted it to end so they went to out to dinner. Ten short months later Trevor proposed!

When I met Brooke and Trevor, I could tell that they love to have fun together and really value family and shared time. I loved to hear about their love story and was thrilled to plan their engagement session at one of the most romantic wineries in Virginia, Pearmund Cellars. Brooke and Trevor graced the vineyards with love, laughter and some very sweet moments.

So how did he propose?

Trevor drinks Snapple teas every morning, and each morning they take turns reading what the “Snapple cap fact of the day” is. The day before Trevor planned to propose, he had to be at work early so he took the Snapple without waking Brooke up. When he got to work and read the cap, he sent her a picture of what it said: “Gentu penguins propose to their life mates with a pebble”. This was perfect as their favorite animal is a penguin. She replied in jest, that a penguin could commit but Trevor couldn’t! So he said he would gladly give her a pebble (she had no idea he was proposing the next day).

The next day was the day before Halloween (her favorite holiday), and Trevor drove them to Lurray Caverns (where Brooke had never been). Trevor had the ring box in his sock and was panicking the whole time that it would fall out. They first went to the garden maze, where they happened to be alone. Brooke took off running, which made Trevor even more worried that he would either lose her or the ring would fall out of his sock! Finally he caught up to her and told her to stop for a moment. He handed her the Snapple cap, which she responded, “Yeah, you showed me this.” He then gave her a pebble, and when asked if it was special, he said it was from work. Brooke sarcastically said thanks, and Trevor replied, “Well if that rock doesn’t work, how about this one?” And he got on his knee and proposed. AHHH!!!! How romantic is that?!
