Shellie and Brian are planning a wonderful wedding at the Great Marsh Estate next year. I’m so thrilled to be working with them! It was so sweet to meet them at their Meadowlark Botanical Gardens engagement session for the first time. I liked them so much from the start! They are practical yet fun, smart and funny and share a friendship full of chemistry!
Shellie and Brian are the kind of couple who could probably finish each other’s sentences. They know what they like and most of that involved things together. They get lost in each other’s eyes and enjoying seeing the world together.
I’m so glad they chose one of my favorite locations for their engagement session. I love Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and I think it lends itself to the prettiest, softest images in both film and digital formats.
We had a wonderful time exploring the gardens and enjoying the time together. It was such a great experience getting to know these two better. It seriously only makes me even more excited for their wedding day next year!
So how did they meet and fall in love (in their words)?
“We met on Match and had our first date over dinner, which is unheard of nowadays. We closed down the restaurant that first date and each subsequent date was longer than the last. Our second date was an epic eleven hours long – it started out with brunch in the morning (the only thing we’d planned), and that went so well that we ended up walking the day away (over 10 miles!) and then we grabbed dinner before ending the night in front of a fire pit.
After that second date, we knew we had something special and everything has just lined up for us ever since. We have so much in common, from our values and senses of humor, to our dogs and our hobbies, and our differences complement each other. Being in our mid-30s, neither of us were sure if we’d ever find ‘the one’ – and we feel so lucky that we found each other.”
