Annie and Chris. It’s always been Annie and Chris. That’s the sentiment echoed by their siblings on their incredible Fleetwood Farm Winery wedding day. Annie and Chris possess a deep, lifelong friendship although they didn’t begin to date until late in college. They grew up together, with their families being the best of friends. So their unique bond is one that extends beyond themselves. From their parents walking the recessional arm in arm to their siblings giving a joint toast, these two families were already united. The wedding just made it official!

Fleetwood Farm

The day began with bridal preparations and photographing details. Annie and Chris had a lovely, classic invitation suite and Twinbrook Floral Design provided some lovely blooms for the bridal party. The palette was the perfect transition from Summer into Fall with pops of rusty orange and deep burgundy.

I also utilized Annie’s grandmother’s antique tray in some of the images. And I couldn’t leave out the cuff links and ring box that Chris designed and created himself!

Annie was stunning in her Theia Couture gown…a true timeless wedding dress paired with J Crew earrings (seriously love Annie’s style!).

Once she unveiled her dress to her bridesmaids, Annie shared a special first look with her dad and then portraits with her parents.

The Ladies

Soon it was time for bridal portraits. Annie was simply stunning! The grounds of Fleetwood Farm Winery are full of lush greens and pops of flowers. Annie’s bouquet complimented her surroundings and her gown beautifully.

Annie and her ladies posed for some portraits as well and enjoyed the mild temperatures along with a cool breeze. The women were so helpful and attentive to every detail. Annie was certainly in good company!

The vines were still lush and bright as well so while we had a ray of sun, we took advantage of them as well!

The Men

The men were also off to a great start. As they prepared for. the day, they also donned the cuff links that Chris hand crafted for each of his men. How thoughtful is that?! And Chris also readied himself with some final help and love from mom and dad.

Chris was quite the dapper gentleman and his groomsmen fell right in. line with him!

The Ceremony

The ceremony space was full of late September greens and pops of color atop the winery barrels. Annie was escorted by both of her parents and was more than ready to meet her groom! Chris was delighted to see Annie and the ceremony was wonderful. It was filled with words from siblings and the sweetest personal vows to one another.

Chris and Annie’s vows were so beautiful and they shared them with me as well! The following are copies of their words to each other…

How incredible are these?!!! Once they tied the knot, they began their joyful recessional. All four parents walked arm in arm back as well before we began our formal group portrait time. And what a wonderful bridal party it they were!

Couples’ Portraits

Soon it was time for some romantic couples’ portraits. This was without question, easy for these two! Their friendship and chemistry just oozes out of every portrait!

Even though the sun was escaping us, Chris and Annie made every moment count and enjoyed this special time together prior to their reception.

They danced, dipped, twirled, walked, laughed and kissed. That’s how you celebrate tying the knot!

The Reception

No Fleetwood Farm Winery wedding day would be complete without a reception in their cozy and gorgeous reception hall. Annie and Chris had such a fitting theme for their reception. Each table was designated as once of the bodies of water they have visited and enjoyed together. The tables were complete with cool water blue runners as well as bottles that reminded me of every shade of sea glass I love most as well!

Their reception also boasted a s’mores table complete with a peanut butter s’more ganache dessert thanks to Scout’s Bake Shop.

The reception began with some words from Annie and Chris’ fathers. The toasts for the evening were truly special. Hearing all about Annie and Chris as they grew up within a stone’s throw of each other gave such a great insight into how close these two families really are. All four of the siblings gave toasts together, standing side by side. It’s clear that each of them, regardless of birth order, look up to Annie and Chris. They had such fun stories and sweet sentiments for the couple who have inspired them to push harder, keep going and love deeply.

The evening also boasted some special dances between the parents and children as well as a song written for the happy couple by a friend. And yes…he played it live at the reception. The dancing continued into the night while some guests roasted marshmallows by the fire pits. It was a cozy evening and a beautiful day and I am so glad to have served these two!
