It’s no secret that I love bridal portrait sessions prior to the wedding day. This extra session allows a bride the opportunity to prepare for her wedding day with a private session devoted to her. Bridal portraits do not always happen at golden hour on the wedding day and usually occur much earlier in the day’s timeline. So a bridal portrait session weeks or months prior to the big day provides those gorgeous images in the prettiest light of the day. This Charlottesville Wedding Photographer was honored when Kristi wanted to book her session at Rixey Manor, prior to her wedding day at Airlie.

Rixey Manor

While the Kristi prepared for her session, I photographed some of her details…these gorgeous vow books, her floral earrings, other jewelry and more. Kristi has some incredible details!

The Portraits

Kristi’s gorgeous long, blonde locks were held in place with a stunning tiara. And her bouquet paired perfectly with the lush greens of the manor’s grounds.

The butterfly garden was also teeming with tiny blooms and so much pretty green! Kristi seemed to float on air through a sea of green peppered with dots of yellow and red.

Rixey Manor

While we didn’t have the most spectacular sunset, we did have some beautiful weather and a clear sky.

Rixey Manor

Kristi looked like a princess in that swing in the back yard! How lovely is this gorgeous bride???!!!

Kristi graced the grounds of the estate like royalty in her Barbara Kavchok gown and ended the session looking just as stunning as she began it. What a joy it was to photograph Kristi. Just wait until you see her equally amazing images from her wedding day as she and Tom tied the knot at Airlie! Stay close!
