I first met with Rachelle in Warrenton over coffee at Panera. It was the kind of meeting where you just feel like you are catching up with a friend you haven’t seen in a while. That’s how welcoming and warm Rachelle really is. (Such sentiments would be echoed by her bridesmaids later in the day too!). So it seemed fitting to me that Rachelle and Tyler would choose to tie the knot in the summer. Their Marriott Ranch wedding took place on a hot and humid day in August. Despite the heat, nothing could dampen the spirits of these two and their friends and family.
I so enjoyed getting to know Rachelle and Tyler at their engagement session as well. And I’ve loved seeing all their plans and vision come to fruition! The serene blues and hints of hunt country love all echo my favorite things about Fauquier county and Rachelle reflected them well in her details.
With pale blues, hints of blush, greens and white, Rachelle assembled the perfect summer palette to represent their wedding day.
Even their napkins had a special touch with a spring of eucalyptus and their gold wax seal over some gold velvet ribbon. And that lace on Rachelle’s dress! It was feminine and flowing.
Rachelle prepared for her day inside of the Marriott Ranch manor with the help of her mother and bridal party. She also planned a big reveal with her bridesmaids, who were blown away by Rachelle’s beauty and incredible choice of wedding dress!
After sharing special gifts with her mother and father, it was time for Rachelle’s bridal portraits and portraits with her ladies.
And how about this moment with her precious flower girl?!!
Rachelle had a lovely group of ladies surrounding her, with her mother serving as the maid of honor. They were gorgeous gals in their blush gowns and incredible bouquets from Everlasting Flowers.
We kept moving to keep the heat at bay and these ladies didn’t skip a beat!
Rachelle was absolutely stunning! The backdrop of the Blue Ridge and the majestic trees perfectly framed her figure. Those perfectly arranged curls and that Mori Lee gown completed a lovely ensemble accented by a big and beautiful bouquet.
Meanwhile, the men were also preparing for the Big Day in the groom’s cottage at Marriott Ranch. Tyler donned a Jos. A Bank suit with a fantastic floral tie. AS he prepared to get ready for the day, he was surrounded by his closest friends, including his two brothers.
Tyler was soon ready to go and enjoyed some time outside (with some shade, of course!). He donned his jacket and boutonniere before gathering for some photos with his guys.
Tyler also took the time to share some special moments with his parents before preparing to meet his bride.
The ceremony site was decorated in fresh greenery and blooms with the Blue Ridge mountains serving as the backdrop at Marriott Ranch. The ceremony was filled with family and friends and Tyler’s dad even served as the officiant. He spoke of their love for one another and even threw in a few stories about the two of them that not everyone may have known!
After Rachelle and Tyler sealed it with a kiss, they celebrated at the manor and we gathered for group portraits. They posed for family group photos and then some with their full bridal party…ready to celebrate with them!
As everyone made their way to cocktail hour, it was time for photos of just Rachelle and Tyler together.
We definitely had to take advantage of that beautiful floral hoop and the lovely tree in front of the manor!
It quickly became time for Rachelle and Tyler to prepare for their grand entrance into the reception pavilion. And how amazing is this venue on a summer day??!
The reception details perfectly reflected Rachelle’s style and her vision. From the “love” bottle opener favors to the floral chandelier, it was bursting with summer style and the warmth of the Marriot Ranch pavilion.
I especially loved how Everlasting Flowers moved the floral hoop from the ceremony site into the pavilion to become a part of their sweetheart table!
Rachelle and Tyler and their bridal party made their grand entrances and Rachelle and Tyler shared a first dance, full of twirls, laughter and smiles.
They also shared their love story in their own words via the DJ team from Eric Herod Entertainment. Then one of my favorites…a father/daughter dance and a mother/son dance.
After dinner, several toasts were shared by the maid of honor, Rachelle’s mom, the best man and a surprise toast from a relative. We heard about what a wonderful fit these two are and all the qualities that make them so special. Tyler’s steady, loyal love and Rachelle’s kindness, strength and devotion were just a few that made the list!
We were able to enjoy the tail end of golden hour and Rachelle and Tyler dug up their buried bottle of whiskey! And sure enough, they were blessed with good weather! It may have been hot, but there was no rain and no high winds.
Rachelle and Tyler enjoyed a bit more of that setting sun before heading back in to enjoy the rest of the reception.
And oh my! Tyler has really perfected that dip! Once we headed back into the reception, the dancing and the reception events were in full swing.
It was a festive night and it ended with a lot of happy faces. I am so glad to have served Rachelle and Tyler, their family and friends. Congratulations you two!
