Meeting Beth and Chris for the first time was quite a treat! They had a very sweet story and they had already hired a wonderful wedding planner and were on their way to planning a wedding that reflects who they are together. Beth and Chris told me about how they met in middle school…wow! They fell in love at an early age and then ended up going in separate directions in life. Then in 2011, their paths crossed again and they picked up right where they left off! Oh my word, how amazing.

They dated via long distance relationship for three years until Chris asked Beth to move to Virginia and she said, “yes.” Beth’s move was all set for January of 2015. Unbeknownst to her, Chris had a surprise up his sleeve. On Christmas Eve of 2014, they were at Beth’s house getting ready to go to a family Christmas feast. Chris was insistent that they both open one gift before leaving. Beth was feeling a little funny so she gave him a gift…a soup thermos…(I like a practical gift!). He then gave her a special gift…a Louis Vuitton wallet with a little surprise inside. When Beth pulled out the ring, he immediately got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever! AND he set up his phone to secretly record the entire proposal! Seriously, what a guy!

So you can imagine how special this wedding day will be with family and friends from both their lives and journeys. Beth really needed a wedding planner because her job involves a lot of travel. We also had to be strategic about planning their engagement session. We decided on this special location in Fauquier county, which will be a wedding venue in the near future.

Beth and Chris were fun, laid back and go together like PB&J! Their chemistry and enjoyment together is evident. They really are lifelong friends with the kind of romance from which novels are penned! Congratulations on your engagement, Chris and Beth…I can’t wait for your wedding day, too!
