Some cakes are just too amazing, pretty and/or unique to eat. So today I have 15 from the year to oggle. Some are fake, some are real but all of them created by some talented folks!!!
1. Stephanie…the bride who made her own cake that was so impressive, Fab You Bliss showcased she and Ross’ amazing DIY wedding. This beauty was delicious and gluten free!
2. How about this amazing cake and cupcake tower from Tory and Jake’s wedding?
3. And then this amazing creation from Haute Cakes Pastry Shoppe for our cherry tree shoot featured on August Willows! I mean…wow!!!!
4. Another amazing creation from Haute Cakes Pastry Shoppe!!!! Look at this regal monogrammed cake with gold sequin sprinkles for a shot at Pearmund Cellars. So marvelous and featured on Glamour and Grace!
5. Gateau never ceases to amaze me with cakes so pretty, it’s hard to think of cutting them! This beautiful creation from Gwen and Matt’s wedding is the perfect fall cake!
6. And also from Gwen and Matt’s Big Day is another stunner from Gateau…a groom’s cake designed to work with the cocktail hour board game theme…Gwen and Matt love board games and if you notice the best place to park your Rolls is at Rixey Manor, their gorgeous venue!
7. Theresa of Heavenly Scent cupcakes and cakes designed this lovely little cake for a shoot at DuCard Vineyards. And the beautiful cake topper is another fabulous wood design from Brown and Nash Designs also featured from our shoot on Love and Lavender as well as Eco-Beautiful Bride.
8. I love this cake by the incredibly talented Oh Miss Cake in Boston. Alexis and Rassem’s winter wedding cakes were elegant and delicious!
9. Lora of Gateau went above and beyond expectations with this stunning cake designed for a Degas Old Masters inspired shoot at Brandy Hill Farm. Check out the amazing details also featured on Rustic Wedding Chic.
10. Sean and Sophia’s Rixey Manor wedding was full of sentiment and meaningful details. This lemon poppyseed custard creme cake was no exception! See more on their feature on the Black Tie Bride as well as one coming soon on The Knot!
11. No rustic barn wedding is complete without the perfect cake and cupcake bar! Kelsey and Jimmy’s Rounton Farm wedding was warm and cozy despite the rainy day and pretty, yummy cake didn’t hurt either! You can see more of this cake bar when their wedding is featured on Borrowed and Blue later this month!
12. Gateau is at it again with this very lovely cake from Bernadette and Jeff’s Rixey Manor wedding. What a lovely treat and will be featured on the Washingtonian Bride and Groom online in March!
13. This beautiful yellow and blue cake was simply perfect for Sylvia and Chandler’s summer wedding. Excellent work from All in the Details!
14. Haute Cakes Pastry Shoppe created this rustic cake and cupcake combination for Brittany and Logan’s rustic fall wedding in October. I love the woodgrain…wonderful texture! Their wedding will be featured on the Big Day in less than ten days!
15. And finally a really FUN cake that suites the bride and groom so well! I loved the joyful gathering at Ashton and Mladen’s wedding. Check out this ombre cake with a flamingo on top!
It was very hard to pick only 15 from the year to show you, but I hope this was fun!!!
