I doubt I will soon forget the first time I met Jamie and Jason at Starbucks in Old Town Alexandria. Preceding their engagement session we met in person so we could get to know each other a bit. I so enjoyed hearing more about how they met, how Jason proposed and their wedding day plans at the Historic Rosemont Manor. They were planning on wedding outside of the gorgeous barn in front of the waterfall. I loved vision for the entire day! And their engagement session proved to be just as fun and charming as Jamie and Jason!

It was also evident how much these two cared about their family. Their siblings were in the wedding party and Jason even had a first look with his mom. Jamie had a special locket with her late father’s photo on it wrapped securely around her bouquet and her mother escorted her down the aisle.

The Details

The day began for me by photographing the details, including these classic invitations from Shine. Jamie and Jason were preparing on their own, Jamie with her bridesmaids and mom and Jason digging up the bourbon! And yes…they had the most perfect weather!

Every last detail was simply perfect. And the florals from The Rosy Posy complemented their wedding day palette with hearty blooms and fresh greens.

Jamie prepared for the day with her best ladies all around and donned this incredible Martina Liana gown paired with her Bella Belle shoes. After her bridal preparations were complete, we ventured outside for her bridal portraits.

Jamie was a stunning bride and their was still plenty of green and pops of orange in the surroundings to truly complement both her bouquet and her perfect complexion!

The Men

Jason also prepared for the Big Day at Rosemont Manor with his best guys. After digging up the bourbon, they donned their suits and ties and finally their boutonnieres.

My associate photographer then escorted Jason outside for his groom’s portraits. He was as dapper as could be and nervously excited to meet his bride!

Jason also shared a first look with his mom! After she adjusted his tie and boutonniere, he was ready for the First Look with Jamie!

The First Look

Jamie and Jason shared an excited first look in front of the waterfall at the Rosemont Manor barn. There was such a sweet and fun reaction from both! Immediately following, we spent time photographing their romantic couples portraits!

The grounds at Rosemont Manor reminded me of an enchanted forest fairy tale! And Jamie and Jason graced the grounds, walking hand in hand, excited to see their day unfold.

After their couples’ portraits came another sweet time of group portraits with Jamie and her ladies as well as intimate family portraits. These gorgeous pops of reds were the perfect addiction to the fresh florals. And what an excited group of ladies this was!

The men also had their portraits taken together as they prepared for the ceremony.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was officiated by a family friend from Pennsylvania. It was a beautiful service celebrating their union.

With a couple of tears, lifelong pledges and a long kiss, Jamie and Jason said “I do!” Their family and friends were full of life and excitement as well.

The group family portraits after the ceremony were so lovely as we had a slightly overcast sky and a lovely arbor to frame this close knit family.

Their bridal party was a big friendly group ready to celebrate Jamie and Jason! And how about this precious flower girl???!!!

Jamie also took some time to twirl in her lovely veil as well! You gotta have fun with it on your wedding day!

Jamie and Jason also toasted to their big day prior to the start of the reception. It was so wonderful to see them have time together before rejoining their guests.

The Reception

I loved Jamie and Jason’s seating chart! How creative is this?!

The barn was ready for its guests and every last detail was perfect.

The head table was also lovely in candlelight with salads ready for each guest courtesy of Celebrations Gainesville.

And these desserts! Jamie’s mom made all of these in a true Pennsylvania style!

And this lovely cake!

Upon their entrance, Jamie and Jason danced their first dance and wowed their guests with some impressive turns, dips and twirls!

During the toasts, we learned so much more about Jamie and Jason. I loved hearing about some of their adventures as well as the special bond between best friends and sisters. It was clear that since they met in college, Jamie and Jason have been a couple with a blossoming romance AND friendship that has continued on and will continue!

Everyone danced the night away and had the best time being entertained by the Move Makers Band!

Congratulations Jamie and Jason! It was an absolute joy to photograph your Big Day and celebrate your love, documenting your day for you to cherish your entire lives.

Thank You and Congratulations!
