Sky and Brandon’s wedding day finally arrived! I was looking forward to it for quite a while. I have really gotten to enjoy getting to know these two and getting to hear all their family and friends hadd to say about them made the day even that much sweeter! I first met them in person at their engagement session at Molon Lave. I loved the story of how they met at church and how Sky thought Brandon was patient, loving and kind and always serving others, and Brandon felt pretty much the same about Sky! They were a match that those who knew them wanted to see happen.
Sky and Brandon’s wedding day was full of fun, surprises, love and faith. They shared a first look in front of Rose Hill Manor and Sky was stunning in her first of three dresses for the day! They were married in a Christian service under the outdoor arbor and then honored their family in a traditional Korean Paebaek ceremony (enter dress number two). If the fun tradition of family members throwing nuts and dates for them to catch are an actual indicator of future children, Sky and Brandon would be having the equivalent of two football teams!
The Paebaek was followed by a wardrobe change (enter dress number three) just in time for golden hour portraits (gah…they are so beautiful!!!!). The reception was then filled with some fun surprises, including a dance to Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” performed by Sky and her dad as well as the sweetest teary eyed mother/son dance between Brandon and his mom. And I absolutely loved the toasts! Hearing them honor Sky’s late mother, whom they all loved deeply, and Sky’s bestie sharing how special their friendship is were just a few of the sweet moments in the toasts.
Their friends and family filled the dance floor and the photo booth without hesitation and Sky also surprised Brandon with a coordinated dance with her bridesmaids following the bouquet toss!
It was such a wonderful day and Sky and Brandon were gracious hosts, spending time with each of their guests and family members. Congratulations Sky and Brandon! It was such an honor to serve you. I really am so blessed to have recorded this incredible day.
