How I have so enjoyed serving Christina and Josh over the last year (actually a little more than a year…)! Through their two engagement sessions and Christina’s bridal portrait session, I have gotten to see what a gem of a couple these two are. The anticipation leading up to their December wedding has been real (especially since their Longwood Gardens Engagement Session)! So when their day came and a steady rain was in the forecast, Katie and her team with Tilly and Teal were ready to go with all the plans to make this a memorable indoor wedding day at Morais Vineyards.
Katie ensured everything came together perfectly. From the exquisite winter themed florals from Serena Floral Design to the food provided by Pampas Fox Catering, the unique vintage lounge vignettes provided by Bella Villa to the second hair and make up style of the day by Yisell Santos , everything was stunning! Christina and Josh’s beautiful cool winter palette of dusty blues, lavender and green hues were the perfect complimentary colors to the enchanting winter theme at Morais Vineyards. Even with the rain, we were able to photograph gorgeous portraits in the Bridal Suite, the atrium and inside the reception hall.
The ladies enjoyed preparing for the day in the Cottage Bridal Suite at the gorgeous grounds of Morais Vineyards. The Cottage Bridal Suite is a lovely and bright, warm and cozy spot for receiving hair and makeup services from the incredible Yisell Santos. After details and flatlays, we then photographed bridal portraits and portraits of the gals in front of the main doorway and then in front of the fireplace. Christina’s contagious giggle and sultry smile kept everything full of fun and beauty.
The men gathered in the Groom’s Suite preparing for the big day. Laughter and chatter abound as the men dressed in their finest from Men’s Warehouse. They were both silly and serious as they posed compliantly for the photos that would take place in the Suite as well as during a brief let up of the rain in front of the reception hall.
From the first look in the atrium to their couples’ portraits both there and in the reception hall, these two didn’t skip a beat. And our hearts melted as Josh told Christina in their private vows how much he loves her and how there is a “Christian shaped hole” in his heart when he has to leave town for his job.
A wintery ceremony site, reminiscent of a woodland tale, did not disappoint as their design team transformed the Ballroom for their ceremony. And after they said “I do,” we began group portraits and cocktail hour was in full swing as the team transformed the space yet again from woodland ceremony to candlelit winter elegance for the reception. Their guests relaxed in the bar while enjoying cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres from the ever delectable and delicious Pampas Fox Catering.
After dinner, toasts were in order as well as cake cutting and in a twist on an old tradition, Christina and Josh tosses a stuffed dog and cat to eligible guests. The energizing DJ Stephi B got everyone moving on the dance floor to continue the fun throughout the rest of the evening.
I’m so honored to have served Christina and Josh. Please keep scrolling to see highlights from their amazing day!
Thank you to these incredible wedding professionals for helping to make their day so incredible.
