A&N decided on a winter engagement session in February at The Meridian House in Washington D.C. We ended up having the most mild weather and their images were stunning both inside and out. And from that incredible engagement session to the wedding day, A&N have been a pleasure to serve. So I was relaly looking forward to their October wedding at Morais Vineyards. And the day did not disappoint!

When I arrived at Morais Vineyards, N and her bridal party were preparing with hair and makeup in the bridal suite while A and his groomsmen were enjoying time in and around the groom’s suite. After photographing the wedding day details, some fun gettign ready shots and some incredibly gorgeous portraits of N, I also documented N’s charming first look with her father. And my lovely second shooter, Alexis, recorded A and his groomsmen and family getting ready as well.

A&N shared a first look in front of the gorgeous glass atrium, where they also exchanged private vows. After some couples’ portraits and wedding party and family portraits, it was time for the ceremony. N&A participated in a Persian ceremony, filled with many traditional Persian elements, including the honey sharing ceremony, where the couple feeds each other honey on their pinky fingers to symbolize their commitment to each other and the sweetness of their marriage.

After they tied the knot and sealed it with a kiss, A&N enjoyed cocktail hour with friends and family as well as some lovely portraits together. We also stole away for some gorgeous golden hour portraits right before the reception.

The reception entrances were full of fun and dancing and both of their families and friends helped to create a warm and welcoming environment that saw their first dance, special parent dances as well as the knife dance prior to cutting the cake. A&N were also toasted by the maid of honor, best man, and the father of the bride.

The DJ kept the energy up as everyone enjoyed the party on the dance floor after dinner. A&N also had a mock streamer “exit” before really dancing the night away.

It was such an honor to witness this day and to document this chapter of their love story. Thank you A&N for the honor of serving you and your families.
