Maureen and Adam booked their Capitol View 400 wedding with me long before I met them in person. So meeting with them was a long awaited experience. Their work schedules made it a little more challenging for them to coordinate a good time together for an engagement session. Fortunately, we had AMAZING weather for their Georgetown Engagement Session. They also told me the best places to park and get in and out…this DC Wedding Photographer feels even more well educated on where to go in Georgetown.

We met at Paul, a pretty infamous bakery in Georgetown and from the start I knew Mo and Adam were my kind of people! Not only do they share the names of my brother and sister-in-law, but it was remarkable how many interests we share. They also have all of my favorite priorities in mind when planning the perfect wedding.

The Waterfront

After a wonderful time together at Paul, we headed for the waterfront. We had beautiful sunshine in all the right places and just happened to plan it at the perfect time of day for the waterfront. Surprisingly, it wasn’t at sunset or golden hour!

Georgetown Engagement

I loved their style and the way their warm colors picked up tones from the water and the tall grasses as well!

Georgetown

Mo and Adam had to plan their engagement schedule around their work schedule, which wasn’t easy. Mo told me that she has flown over 40 flights this year so you can imagine it wasn’t easy finding a time that worked. But fortunately, the day we scheduled we ended up with this beautiful warm sunshine. Not only did it create a bright glowing background, but it even illuminated the streets and sidewalks we strolled along downtown.

Geogretown

And Maureen’s solitaire is just the most timeless engagement ring! Adam certainly did an excellent job choosing just the right diamond. And yet another thing we have in common…solitaire engagement rings. (:

Georgetown

Adam and Maureen really knew all the right places to go. While walking through the streets of Georgetown, we even found this special little spot on the side of an ally. We may not have been in Italy, but it felt like we had found a little spot of European flair. We then discovered the charm of the cobblestone streets and some homes decorated for Christmas.

Georgetown

They may look like they just stepped out of a J. Crew catalogue into a Georgetown Engagement Session but Maureen and Adam are still the most approachable and down-to-earth couple you could meet. These two clearly have so much fun together! They make you feel welcome immediately and I simply love how full of life and energy they are together. I seriously can’t believe how long I have to wait to capture their wedding day. But I am looking forward to it so very much.

Congratulations!

Congratulations Maureen and Adam on your engagement and your Georgetown engagement session. I can’t wait for your Capital View 400 wedding later this year! Keep scrolling down for more highlights from the day. And the last photo is outside of the very place where JFK proposed to Jackie! Maureen and Adam had a date in that very booth last year…
