I have been photographing Christmas mini sessions for several years now and continue to enjoy this annual tradition. This year was no exception as I hosted 15 sessions in one day. Whew! I enjoyed every minute of it! Seeing so many families and couples come in their coordinated Christmas attire, ready to make memories together is so much fun. I loved meeting new folks and greeting continuing clients. Some families I have photographed since their wedding day on through several children. In fact, this year I had to turn away a lot of folks as they filled so quickly. It pains me greatly to turn so many away. If I had the time in my schedule I would schedule two dates! But keep reading to see a special new something I will be doing this coming year to serve all of these folks well.

I wish I could write novels about every person represented here, but alas my schedule will not allow it at the moment. I also had to pick up my sweet boy from school early today before heading to a full family session! He caught some little stomach bug…ick! So here I am writing a quick blog because I really wanted to share some of the joy this evening. So I have a sentence or two underneath each image and if you keep reading to the end, you can read about my special announcement as well as see more highlights from the day.

This sweet family above looked so precious in their dark navy and grey ensemble! Mandy and I were pregnant at the same time and she has had such a special place in my heart since!

Another fun treat for me was photographing the matron of honor and her precious family from one of my weddings this year.

I also had the joy of photographing the bride and groom again! Did you see Maribel and Patrick’s wedding this summer? Or their engagement session last Spring? I love these two!

This amazing family were also new faces for me this year and they were concerned about their youngest. She wasn’t too excited about her photos but we used a lot of movement and definitely saw a lot of laughter!

I met this amazing couple when they were planning their wedding. And now look at their two incredible littles who just happen to be FULL of personality!

Jackie is a wonderful photographer and sweet friend who not only knows how to rock a flowing skirt but has second shot for me too this year! These two are too much fun together.

Not only would I call Angela one of my sweetest and dearest friends, but I also call her one of my mommy heros. When her youngest daughter gets together with my son, they become some kind of hurricane! Seriously cannot get enough of this family.

This is such a beautiful family and with such servant hearts. They continue to serve in their community and have served Younglife Fauquier for many years. It was a complete honor to photograph their family!

This special grandpa is an elder in my church and his wife is a powerhouse elementary school teacher. But they are now best known as grandma and grandpa to the cutest little in a red coat!

I have known this family for many years. I can’t say enough about them so I will leave it at this…if you ever want to know some of the sweetest, most genuine folks on the planet, look no further. Because they are here.

My goodness…I met this beautiful family a while back but haven’t seen them in a while. It was wonderful to see them and catch up. And how incredibly coordinated are they? What a joy it was to see such a close knit family of four!

I knew this daddy when he was in high school and now he has this incredibly beautiful family! I can’t even believe how lovely they all are…and just as sweet!

Here are some more new faces! I love it when friends refer others to me and this family was no exception. How precious are these little guys?!

And finally, I had the sweet opportunity to photograph some of the Walden Hall staff and family. This girl is graduating high school this year, which is hard to believe! If you book a room at Walden, you might get to meet her momma who works there!

I met Eric when Walden Hall first opened. Both he and his girlfriend share some fun adventures together, including styling and creating air bandb homes for rent!

And finally, here is Lindsay and her husband Tim! If you’ve booked Walden Hall this year, you’ve most likely met Lindsay. She is the sweet and talented events coordinator whose contagious laughter and bright eyes will genuinely make you want to return again and again!

Thank you to all the wonderful families who made this year’s Christmas mini sessions so special. Merry Christmas from myself, Ben and Judah (thank you Zac for our family photo.)! And thank you to Walden Hall for hosting them. Be sure to check out Walden Hall for the PERFECT night away from home. We can’t say enough about the rooms, the service and the incredible breakfast. And did you know you can book a helicopter tour of the area there too? Seriously, love this place and all its friendly faces! Merry Christmas, friends! Keep scrolling for a few more highlights.

And…this coming year I will be offering Spring mini sessions for the first time! Yay! Stay tuned because they will book quickly! and I mean QUICKLY! They will be limited and one day only. Cheers!
