“It was in God’s perfect timing that we found each other,” is what Jessica had to say about her love story with Young at our engagement session at the Kennedy Center this past July. It was also in God’s perfect timing that their wedding day came. The skies were clear, blue, and sunny. The weather was crisp and windy but perfectly pleasant. 

The beautiful Brentsville Hall provided the perfect backdrop for Jessica and Young’s elegant October wedding. Elegance and romance were the theme for the day, from the stunning ikebana style soft florals provided by Gott Efni, the shining chandeliers throughout the venue, the neutral color palette of the wedding party, to the style and grace of the couple themselves! 

Ji of Glee Events kept the day running smoothly and the mood as light and airy as the decorations being placed throughout the hall. Friends and professionals, GXL Filmworks, followed the couple throughout the day capturing the romance on film. Staffer Nichole, of Brentsville Hall, ensured the crowd of their neighbor and sister company 2 Silos Brewery’s Oktoberfest didn’t crash the wedding.  

The Grandeur Bridal suite hosted the talented Hair and Make Up Artist: Shine Tina who enhanced the already exquisite beauty of the bride and her lovely bridal party. Jessica stunned in her ethereal, romantic, Elegance by Roya dress, while her gorgeous bridesmaids shone in champagne gowns from Shop Revelry.

The bridesmaid reveal was teary and tender, and some lovely portraits were taken throughout the suite. While the first-class cigar lounge hosted handsome groom, Young, and his groomsmen as they prepared for the day’s events. 

The attention to detail that Jessica possesses is understood in her choice of venue and florals. The set-up of Brentsville Hall with the enhancement of the romantic and soft arrangements of Gott Efni florals, create a picture perfect backdrop from ceremony and cocktail hour to (the flipping of the same site) reception and exit. 

Picture perfect was exactly that, from the lines of the staircase and balconies to the natural light of the expansive windows. Indoors and out, we photographed bride, groom, family, and friends. First look, bridal and wedding party portraits, and family formals left no nook of the venue unexplored. Jessica and Young’s first look on the stone patio complete with fireplace was romance at its finest! The tenderness of the couple in their private moment together is that of fairytales. Portraits and family formals took place from loft to patio and everywhere in between. 

The elegance of the traditional ceremony led immediately into cocktail hour. Staff worked to flip the site for reception while guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails provided by the delectable The Black Sheep Restaurant on the covered stone patio. During cocktail hour we were able to capture some of my favorite golden hour portraits to date. Golden truly was the hour for these fantastic, fall, newlywed portraits!

As the reception site was made ready, we made our way back inside for intros and a fun dance from Jessica’s bridesmaids. First dances took place and toasts from both fathers, maid of honor, and best man spoke of Jessica’s attention to detail and Young’s tender care for Jessica. Next, dinner was served. As the tables were called up, they first stopped at the sweetheart table for a sweet photo with the newlyweds. 

To finish out the night we braved the wind with a sparkler exit! A bright ending to a lovely evening spent with a wonderful couple! Congratulations Jessica and Young, it was my pleasure to serve you and your families!
